About Us Vigilance

The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) is an apex governmental body in India that is responsible for promoting integrity, transparency, and accountability in the country's public administration. It was established in 1964 as a result of the recommendations of the Santhanam Committee on Prevention of Corruption.

CVC provides necessary guidelines for effectively carrying out vigilance administration in all departments/organizations of the Government of India including autonomous bodies through various circulars/directives. These circulars and directives are available on their website https://cvc.gov.in/

Integrity Pledge:

In order to create greater awareness and participation of the public at large, CVC has envisaged a concept of “Integrity Pledge” to enlist support and commitment of the citizens and other corporates/entities/firms, etc., to prevent and combat corruption. The pledges are available on the Commission’s website https://pledge.mygov.in/cvc/
